With inspiration from the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder: the latest luxury yacht by Milan-based Officinal Armare Design has been unveiled. It’s everything but your typical hard-top speedboat. This isn’t the first time that the company based a speedboat from the inspiration of a supercar. Prior to their latest one, they built an open-air speedboat that was inspired by the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster. Formally named the “A88,” its “powerful bow and voluptuous aft curves” showcases a grey stern with teak that’s complimented with carbon-fiber accents, said Robb Reports. For those interested in spending a little time at the sea can do so in this super yacht as it sleeps up to 8 guests across four cabins. In addition to the cabins, there’s two large master suites and two twin cabinet. Each and every room is built with a unique blend of modern and sportive, luxurious and comfortable design that is followed into the private lounge areas, full bar, and aft decks with sun pads. According to the brand, the A88 GranSport combines a sleek, modern and sportive design with excess power. The streamlined design and frozen grey coloring adds to the elegant but aggressive profile.” As for the performance in the 88-foot yacht, it’s built with twin 2600-hp MTU 16V 2000 M94 diesel engines. This means that at open throttle it can reach more than 40 knots. If you cruise at 35 knots you can expect to see a 350 nautical mile range. What makes this possible is that the A88 has numerous air intakes for enhanced calling, four carbon-fiber spoilers, and an aerodynamic hardtop. The brand says, Automotive-inspired style has crept its way into the design as well: a coupe-like roofline, four overwater exhausts and accentuated aft hips emulate hypercars and give the A88 a distinctive look among the populated superyacht market.” There’s no set pricing for this yacht. Officinal Armare Design will be offering custom layouts to suit the owner’s taste.
